Poly-resin frames with UV-stable paint provide a cost-effective alternative with excellent weather resistance. Sealed ABS plastic housing with silicone gaskets for all joints and the battery compartment. Teak wood frames with marine-grade sealant for garden and pergola installations.
IP Rating and Weatherproofing Standards
Our outdoor clocks carry IP44 (splash-resistant) as standard. Premium models are rated IP55 or IP65 for direct rain exposure. All outdoor clocks use Japanese sealed quartz movements rated from -10 degrees C to +50 degrees C operating range.
UV Resistance and Color Retention
We use UV-stable paints and acrylics that maintain color integrity for 3-5 years in direct sunlight. Accelerated UV testing (1,000 hours ASTM D4329) confirms color retention. Plastic components use ASA or PMMA materials rather than standard ABS for superior UV resistance.
Salt Spray Resistance
For coastal and marine environments, we apply Electrophoretic Deposition (E-coating) on metal components for salt spray resistance exceeding 500 hours (ASTM B117). 316 stainless steel hardware is standard on premium outdoor models.
